A rain affected meeting was staged at the Gosling Sports Park in Welwyn on Friday evening, with only half of the programme completed before the meeting had to be abandoned.

Tony Gibb (Metaltek) won the two Senior A League events. The four riders in the Hare and Hounds set a cracking pace and were finally caught with as the bunch swept them up as they entered the home straight.

Martin Ruepp (York Cycles) won the two B League events and will now be promoted to the A League.

In the youth events the Colchester Longstaff brothers are in good form in their respective age categories.
