Location: Manchester Velodrome, Manchester
Event: 9-15 October 2011

With less than a week to go, the return of the UCI Track Cycling Masters World Championships will see over 400 riders compete for the 75 Gold Medals and World Championships on offer in the week's competition.

Interest in the event has snowballed in recent months, causing an unprecedented last minute surge in entries. As such the predicted 340 riders has been boosted to nearer a figure reached in the 2006 event before the Championship week went to Australia.

The week's events will cumulate no doubt in yet another frighteningly fast Open Murratti Cup which former GB rider Shaun Wallace has already stated his intention his desire to win after 2 second places in previous events. It will be preceded by the fourth running of the Brian Cossavella Memorial, the former World Masters promoter, who's desire it was to see the event return to Manchester.

Tickets are available at £8 for Adults and £5 concessions, Monday to Friday and £10 Adults and £5 concessions Saturday, from the National Cycling Centre reception, or online from the Masters website.
