In the Freewheeler races it was very much a case of trading places between the same riders.

In the A events Matty Lewis won the sprint with Georgia Hilleard second and Will Manfield third and in the handicap it was Matty again with Georgia second and Harry Lewis third but in the keirin it was Georgia who took first place with Matty second and Tremaine Folkes third. Meanwhile in the B races it was Ed Adams first in the Sprint, Kate Britton second and Dan Morris third but in the Keirin Kate took first place with Ed second and Dan third again.

Fresh from his success in winning the Under 14 National Road Championship James Ireson made a clean sweep of all the youth events: handicap, devil and keirin and then went on to take the intermediate sprint. He did, however, meet some spirited opposition from Ryan Phillips and Charlotte Broughton.

Steve Wilkinson (Welland Valley CC) put in some good efforts in the senior B as did female rider Ella Hopkins who put many of the male riders to shame. In senior A it was Jack Hibberd once more who was making all the running and not without good reason. Jack is riding with both strength and maturity and further consolidating his leading position.

So it was down to the 10km handicap and the youth riders remained in front for the intermediate sprint. James had his win but with some strong opposition from Thomas Owens (second) and Ryan Phillips (third). As the senior A and B riders merged there was the usual drama and tussles but at end Jack Hibberd was there to take the race with Will Rudgard second and Lee Aris third.
