The 2017 British Cycling National Track Championships are set to be the ‘best in the event’s history’ with sessions on the Saturday evening and Sunday now completely sold out.

Tickets remain available for sessions on Saturday morning and both the morning and evening sessions on Friday. A record 8,000 tickets for the event have now been sold.

British Cycling’s director of cycle-sport and membership, Jonny Clay, said:

“To have sold over 8,000 tickets is incredible with the 2017 championships now set to be the best in the event’s history and continues to highlight the huge demand for cycling events in the UK.

“Riders such as Jason Kenny, Laura Kenny, Callum Skinner and Kadeena Cox have all won British national titles early in their careers; the event providing a springboard for so many riders to go on and win medals at Olympic, Paralympic and world championship level.

“Not only will a ticket provide you with chance to witness some of the best British track cycling riders in the country but it will showcase the next generation coming through, the riders that might be winning medals at Tokyo 2020 and beyond. I would urge people to get their tickets now while they still can.”

The highlight of the British domestic track cycling calendar, the championships will take place at the National Cycling Centre in Manchester from 27-29 January.

Friday’s racing will see the finals of the men’s keirin, the men’s and women’s individual pursuit and para-cycling time trials in the C1-5 and visually impaired categories.

Saturday morning’s session will see the women’s team pursuit finals, the finals of the para-cycling pursuit events and the men’s sprint competition begin.

Tickets for the remaining sessions are available via Ticketmaster.
