Ever fancied officiating at a MTB Cross Country event? If so why not book onto the new MTB Cross Country Commissaire course being run at Hadleigh Old Fire Station, Essex on Saturday 14th September from 10am – 5pm.

The format of the day will follow the journey of a MTB Commissaire using a pre, during and post event format and is free of charge. There is also an hour’s online learning module which covers the role of the commissaire, safeguarding, anti-doping and conflict management.

After the course the next step is to get out there and gain experience at events recording these events in a logbook. Once you feel confident you have all the experience you need to be a commissaire at a regional event and you have completed the various roles e.g. gridding, sign on, lap scoring, Assistant Commissaire & acting as Chief Commissaire, you can send your logbook in to apply to be upgraded.

For further details on the course or to book a place please contact the Eastern Regional Events Officer Sara Flatt on saraflatt@britishcycling.org.uk or 07940 302228.
