British Cycling is proud to welcome Ryan Drayton as the newest ambassador for Limitless in partnership with LimbPower.

Ryan joins the team with a clear mission: to break down barriers and create more opportunities for cyclists with limb loss and limb difference.

A lifelong rider, Ryan started in BMX and dirt jumping in the '90s before shifting into mountain biking and European downhill racing. In 2020, a serious riding injury led to the amputation of his left leg. Rather than step back, Ryan took on a new purpose — to make cycling more accessible for riders like him.

He has now retrained as a disability sports coach and works with prosthetics researchers, testing adaptive pedals, and advising on ways to improve safety and access in off-road cycling. He’s also worked with cycling manufacturers and national bodies to push for greater inclusion in gravity and para-MTB events.

“I’m thrilled to join Limitless and contribute meaningfully to the programme. I have high hopes and a great sense of optimism about this collaboration – it’s everything I’ve been working towards,” said Ryan.

As a coach, bike mechanic, and amputee rider, Ryan brings technical know-how, lived experience, and relentless energy to his new role. He’s connected across the cycling world and committed to ensuring disabled riders are seen, supported, and celebrated.

Lyndsey Hollands, National Disability Manager, added:
“Ryan brings an incredible combination of passion, expertise and authenticity to the Limitless programme. His personal story and proactive approach to change embody everything we stand for, creating space, support and opportunity for disabled cyclists to thrive. We’re all excited about what this next chapter will bring.”

With Ryan on board, we’re taking another big step forward in making cycling a sport for everyone.
