2019 Road World Championships

Scottish Cycling has seen some incredible performances from Scottish athletes this week already at the UCI Road World Championships in Yorkshire.
John Archibald coming away with a Bronze medal for GBCT earlier in the week, and superb performances from Junior riders Alfie George and Anna Shackley, placing 7th and 12th respectively. Stuart Balfour continued on a great Scottish performance in the U23 Men’s Road event.
Tao Geoghegan Hart finishes off the weekend for Scotland in the Elite Men’s Road race this Sunday. As with all the other riders, you can find more information and follow the elite road races on BBC iPlayer this weekend.
Forres CC Hill Climb inc. SC North Championship
This Sunday Forres CC welcome the North region to a Hill climb from bottom of west Hazelbank to south of Califer. This event incorporates the SC North Hill Climb Championship, weather permitting, this should be a hard climb but a great day overall.
Open Championship – Glencoe
The National Open Championship is a Downhill Race on a short course for younger riders aged 8 to 18 being hosted by Black Isle Mountain Bike Club and organised by Highland Hardline & Borders MTB Racing. The Championship race aims to introduce downhill racing as well as being challenging to more experienced riders. This is a standalone two-day event to give riders a better understanding of how the SDA & British Downhill race series are run.
