The inaugural Velo Birmingham was officially launched at the NEC Cycle Show last weekend following a teaser campaign that generated over 30,000 pre-registrations.
The event will combine a 15,000 capacity 100 mile closed road sportive with a free, family friendly BikeFest which includes a closed road city centre ride.
Starting and finishing in the heart of Birmingham city centre on Sunday 24 September 2017, the 100 mile closed road sportive will take riders of all levels of ability on an unforgettable route through Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Staffordshire, Sandwell and Dudley.
Priority entry for members
British Cycling members will have priority access to a limited number of entries from 9am on Wednesday 28 September until all entries are taken. Entries will then go on sale to all pre-registrants at 9am on Thursday 29 September and subject to places being available, entries will go on general sale at 8am on Monday 3 October.
