Visit Wales have launched Brailsford Way, two cycle routes in Snowdonia. The roads and rides inspired Sir Dave Brailsford as he grew up in Wales.

There are two routes, a 50 mile and 75 mile that depart Caernafon, past Llanberis and up Pen-y-Pass. The shorter route then turns towards Beddgelert, whilst the longer route takes in Capel Curig and Betws-y-Coed before another large climb towards Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Sir David Brailsford said "There's no better cycling, or a more stunning part of the world than Snowdonia. Growing up, these routes were the ones which I liked to ride; the road, the climbs, the beautiful blend between the sea and mountains. These were the ones that inspired me."

The Brailsford Way will be opened by Sir David Brialsford on Sunday 12 June, following the Snowdonia Etape Eryri.
