On Sunday 22nd May 2016, up to 18,000 riders will embark on a completely closed road cycling sportive that takes in 140km of some of Wales’ most breathtaking scenery.

Volunteers are essential in making sure that event day is a huge success, so why not get involved, become a ‘VELONTEER’ and be part of Wales’ biggest every cycling event!

You don’t need any special skills, just be reliable, flexible and have lots of enthusiasm!

There are a whole range of different roles available on race day and will be something to suit everyone such as;

  • Helping to manage the race start area
  • Supporting riders as they cross the finish line and receive their medals
  • Welcoming riders to Wales and supporting the rider registration area
  • Supporting the riders at feed stations
  • Helping in a 'behind the scenes' role in one of our operational teams.

Velothon Wales will provide you with a t-shirt, breaks, refreshments, and on the day support through a supervisor as well as making sure you have everything you need to undertake your role.

On event day, Sunday 22nd May, Velothon Wales are looking for support in and around the Start/Finish in Cardiff City Centre as well as helping to support one of the three feed stations in Usk, Abersychan and on Caerphilly Mountain.
