Great Britain Cycling Team’s Laura Trott was in superb form as she took an omnium and scratch race double at the Grand Prix of Poland.

Double Olympic champion Trott won the first five of the six disciplines in Pruszkow - the scratch race, individual pursuit, elimination race, 500m time trial and flying lap - before securing gold in the points race in the two-day event.

The 23-year-old, who has won silver in the event at the last three world championships, finished on 211 points with Germany’s Anna Knauer in second with 187 points.

Trott was also victorious in the 10-kilometre scratch race to complete a perfect weekend.

Nineteen-year-old Emily Kay, named in the Great Britain Cycling Team for the UEC Under-23 and Junior European Track Championships, finished in an impressive seventh in the omnium with 135 points and seventh in the scratch race.

Emily Nelson, 18, was 13th in the omnium and ninth in the scratch race and is also set to compete at the European championships in Greece from 14-19 July.
