The Club Management Tool has recently been updated with some new and improved features. The way Club Admins have access to the tool has changed and we have introduced some new features which have been requested in feedback from the many clubs who use the tool.
Manage Administrators
This area of the tool has now been updated and improved. The update has solved the issue that large clubs have had with the page timing out and not loading.
The update has also introduced access levels into the Club Tool. Club Secretaries and existing Club Admins will not have their access affected by this update. However Club Chairs now also have access to the Club Tool with access to the Manage Administrators area.
Setting access levels. Club Secretaries and Chairs are now able to control which parts of the Club Tool Club Admins can access. This is done within the Manage Administrators area. You are able to control the access which current and new Club Admins have you simply select which areas the person needs access to and then click "Save Settings". Please note all new admins will be defaulted to have no access to any area. The Club Tool areas that access can be given to are as follows;
Club Profile - Edit and update the club profile page.
Activity Manager - Create and edit club activities and see who is attending.
Website Manager - Create, edit and maintain the British Cycling Powered Website.
Membership Manager - View, edit, add, delete and email club members. Manage custom fields and club subscriptions.
Newsletter Manager - Create and send out email newsletters.
Reports - Access the reporting tools, to report on club members.
Affiliation - Complete the Club's annual affiliation
The final part of the update to the Manage Administrators area is the often requested feature of specifying which Club Admin the Subscription purchase notification emails go to. To do this the simply click the button in the Subs column next to the member you want to receive these emails. Please note the emails will be sent to the email address as listed on their British Cycling membership account.
Emails
We have added two new features to the emails which you can send out form the system. Again these features have come out of feedback from real life club users. When send emails either from the Club Membership Manager or from the Snapshot Report you are now able to specify a "From" address. You are able to choose to either send the mail from your email address as listed on your British Cycling membership account or from the club's email address as listed on the club profile. This address will then appear as the address to reply to for the recipients of email. We have also added the option of being able to blind copy yourself into the emails that you send out.
Message Board
With the evolution of the email from the system we have now fully phased out the message board. As it is now defunct. Do not worry if you have sent messages in the past that you need to make reference to as these are still available. To view your old messages you simply need to go to "Reports" and then "Club Messages Log". If you have used the Message Board in the past to contact British Cycling please now direct all club enquires including changes to details to clubs@britishcyling.org.uk if you have any enquires or feedback on the Club Management Tool please email clubtool@britishcycling.org.uk.
Please keep all your feedback and ideas coming in it is very much appreciated and helps us devlop the tool to further meet the needs of all our affiliated clubs.
