Amy Hill wins stage one of the Junior Women's Energiewacht Tour for Wales Cycling Team in the Netherlands.

Amy Hill on the podium, Miltenburg in 2nd and Mackaij in third

The 77km course set off from Appingedam with the team of four representing Wales active throughout the race. Emily Nelson attempted to breakaway in the early stages of race, but it was Amy Hill who sprinted from the group and took the win with Dutch riders Miltenburg in seocnd and Mackaij in third. Team mate Rebecca Hunt finished outside the time limit following a crash and will not start stage two.

Wales Cycling Team lead the team classification after stage one, followed closely by the Netherlands.

Stage two begins tomorrow afternoon with a 67.1km course from Uithuizen to Eemsmond.
