Biography

Born in Rutherglen and now living in Andalucia, Spain, for the winter.

Have represented Scotland consistently since 2007 in Road and Track.

Competing in Scotland and the rest of the the UK this season.

Have previously lived and raced in Belgium and the Basque country.

Aiming to be a part of the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and continue my progression into the Professional ranks.

Career Highlights to date

2nd on the second stage of the Isle of Man Junior tour, and 10th overall (British junior national series)

9th on the fourth stage of the Gipuzkoa Itzulia and 12th overall (Basque Country)

4th stage 2 Vuelta a Alava, 7th overall (Basque Country)

4th Championship of Navarra (Spain)

Scottish Road and Cyclocross Champion in 2009/ 2010.

8th in stage 1 of the Tour of the Mendips (British junior national series)

2011 Youth Commonwealth Games Scotland Team Member

Who inspires you and why

Alexandre Vinokourov. No nonsense hardman who takes the race by the scruff of the neck. Henreich Huassler also. Classy, fast finishing Classics man.

How do you celebrate/relax after a big event

Go back to where I grew up, see friends and try be normal for a bit. Unless theres another race round the corner, in which case I get preparing for that!
