Team USN riders Elinor Barker and Amy Roberts starred at Revolution 38 last night, displaying their track skills in the Women's Omnium event against some of the UK's top female cyclists.

Silver medallists in round one of the UCI Track World Cup in Colombia with fellow Team USN rider Ciara Horne in the Team Pursuit, the duo put in a world class performance in Manchester. It was the first time the UCI track trade team, USN, were represented at the event.

Both competed in the Elite Women's competition which consisted of an Omnium; Elimination, Points and Scratch race. Barker took an early exit in the Elimination, with Roberts holding her own to finish fourth, behind Lucy Garner leaving Lizzie Armitstead and Marianne Vos to battle for the win; Vos claimed victory.

In the Scratch Race, Roberts again put in a strong performance for Team USN in front of a packed crowd, crossing the line in fourth. Barker came in 17th, saving herself for the Team Pursuit battle? It was Team Specialized Katie Colclough in first who sprinted away from the pack alone in the final laps to take the win, with Marianne Vos and Emily Kay in second and third.

The final event in the Women's Omium was the Points Race, which would decide the winner of the women's competition. Team USN's Amy Roberts battled to collect points in the early sprints, but missed out on an attempt to gain a lap to secure those extra points. The Dutch contingent of Ellen Van Dyck, Vera Koedooder and Marianne Vos were the stars on track, with Van Dyck and Koedooder taking first and second. Fourth place was enough to secure Marianne Vos the overall win on the night. Amy Roberts came in seventh, behind Lizzie Armitstead, and Elinor Barker in 18th.

Elinor Barker then joined forces with Olympic silver medallist Lizzie Armitstead and Olympic gold medallist Joanna Rowsell for Great Britian in the Team Pursuit against rivals The Netherelands. Great Britain started on the home straight, with The Netherlands taking place on the back straight. Rapturous applause from the home crowd spurred on Great Britain in what was a closely fought race. Barker, winner of the Team Pursuit at the Glasgow Track World Cup earlier this month, gave an outstanding performance alongside Rowsell and Armitstead, which took them to victory with a time of 2:28.216 just infront of The Netherlands trio, who posted 2:28.383.

There was a strong prescence from Welsh riders in the DHL Future Stars competition. In the Elite Men's Championship Jon Mould and Owain Doull represented Team Howies at Revolution 38, with Doull now fifth overall at the half way point and Mould coming in fourth in the Scratch Race. Team Sky's Luke Rowe was also on track, victorious in the Devil and Points Race.
