Young Scots Continue To Show Promise At British XC Series

Fifteen young Scots traveled to Dalby British XC Series to be greeted by the testing World Cup course which included some challenging technical sections and lung busting climbs.

First race of the day and Lucy Grant continued her winning streak by making it 3 wins out 3 for the series. In the juvenile boys, Tomas Van Holten made an immediate impact in his first NPS race coming in 2nd after two laps.

Onto the youth categories and Hannah Ferguson came in a solid 3rd place in the girl's race whilst Stuart Wilcox had a stunning last lap to close a 50 second gap and win the youth boys. In addition to Stuart the Scottish boys showed there collective strength by taking 6 of the top 9 places in their category.

Onto the juniors and Katy Winton is starting to come into form winning her race in style. In the juniors boys, Grant ferguson and Kenta Gallagher had a good battle over 4 laps of the course with Grant moving clear with 2 laps to go to take the win from Kenta.

In the elite women, lee craigie put in a gritty performance to bag a solid 4th spot which now see's her leading he Elite Women's Series.
