Around 50 Scots will be making the journey to Manchester for the 2017 HSBC UK British National Senior Track Championships which take place from Friday 27th – Sunday 29th November.

Not only will this be a chance to gain British National titles, but also a chance for the Scots to set their first time for qualification for the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Olympic team pursuit champion Katie Archibald will be eyeing the individual pursuit title, after winning gold in the same event at the European Championships for the third consecutive year in October.  She lost out narrowly to Laura Kenny (nee Trott) in the British Championships in September 2015.

Angus Claxton, who moved from the Scottish Development Programme to the Great Britain Senior Academy just under six months ago, will be looking to bag his first national title, riding for 100% ME.

2016 Scottish Track Champions Jonathan Mitchell (Billy Bilsland Cycles), Andy Brown (Metaltek Kuota RT), Neah Evans (Boot Out Breast Cancer CC) and Ellen McDermott (EDCO Continental) will be looking to get stuck in amongst the best riders from across Britain.

Other Scots to keep an eye on will be Juniors Joe Nally (www.Hardie-Bikes.com), Lewis Stewart (Glasgow Cycle Team), Rhona Callander (Team Jadan-Weldtite), Jenny Holl (Team Jadan-Weldtite), Amber King (Glasgow Sprint CRT) and Lusia Steele (Glasgow Cycle Team) who will all be making their British National Senior Track Championships debut.
