The weekend (Sunday 14th August) was the third round of the Women's Road Race Series, the Sharon Argue Memorial 2016, also incorporating the East and Central Region Championships.

The series, which is promoted by Dales Cycles, is in its third year. Five rounds, this one in Limerigg, by Slammanan - on the outskirts of Falkirk.

The already established Sharon Argue Memorial was incorporated into the series, this year was its 4th year - organised by Grant Thomson.

The road race utilized a 7.5 mile circuit with riders completing four laps of a hilly circuit which comprised fast descents, long power climbs, short, sharp rises and technical turns.  About the only thing it didn't have was any flat sections.

With team, individual, national and regional podium spots on offer it was a day of challenge and competition.
