Event: 9 March 2013
Report: Snowdon Sports

Roadman Peter Murdoch (Paisley Velo RT) justified top seeding with a winning ride in Loudoun RC’s 12.5-mile Drumclog Hilly time trial over a rolling South Lanarkshire course.

Snow cleared away before the start to be replaced by rain on a day which wasn’t for the faint-hearted with a tailwind start nullified by a tough head to crosswind return, and 33-year-old Murdoch dug deep to finish in 29-54 for a winning margin of 16 seconds over Steven Lawley (Bicycle Works).

Ben Peacock (Paisley Velo RT) was a further six seconds back in third place ahead of top veteran Jim Cusick (Glasgow Couriers).

Murdoch's winning time of 29-54 was later confirmed as a new course record performance.
