Fourth last year, Ben Elliott (VC St Raphael) stepped up to win the Tony Skinner Mile ahead of team-mate Dave Heald in the finale to the Heckington Show grass track meeting in Lincolnshire.

Five events produced five different winners with Heald and John McClelland (Prestige VC) taking the honours in the other two scratch races, Karl Baillie (Witham Wheelers) winning the devil-take-the-hindmost, and George Thompson (Sleaford Wheelers) on top in the handicap.


Results:

8-km scratch: 1 John McClelland (Prestige VC), 2 Martin Smith (Chesterfield Coureurs), 3 Karl Baillie (Witham Wheelers).

Devil: 1 Karl Baillie, 2 Lewis Meadows (Cottingham Coureurs), 3 George Thompson (Sleaford Wheelers).

800-m scratch: 1 Dave Heald (VC St Raphael), 2 Ben Elliott (VC St Raphael), 3 Lewis Meadows.

400-m handicap: 1 George Thompson, 2 Lewis Meadows, 3 Karl Baillie.

Tony Skinner Mile: 1 Ben Elliott, 2 Dave Heald, 3 Lewis Meadows.
