TT: Cusick cruises to victory in Skelly Memorial 50-mile TT

James Cusick (Glasgow Couriers) cruised to his fourth time-trial victory of the season with a time of 1 hour 53 minutes 23 seconds to win by more than four minutes in the Skelly Memorial 50-mile TT.

Cusick, aged 48, from Glasgow showed his fine form which took him to seventh place in the Scottish National-50 and sixth in the Scottish National-25.

Coming home in second place in a time of 1:57:25 was Callum Finlayson (Forres CC) and taking third place in a time of 1:59:16 was Duncan Warwick (Deeside Thistle CC).

Taking the prize for fastest lady was Christine McLean (Shetland Wheelers) in a respectable time of 2:05:11 which also earned her tenth place overall.

Glasgow Couriers took the prize for best team in 06:11:15 with a trio of James Cusick, Lynsey Curran and Albert McLellan.

Alan McCaffrey (Ross-shire Roads CC) took the prize for best handicap and Derek Steward of (Deeside Thistle CC) was the first veteran on standard.
