Event: 7 July 2013
Report: Snowdon Sports

Landing the first road win of his second comeback season, Adam Kenway (Team Zenith-www.buzzcycles.com) outsprinted breakaway companion Lee Baldwin (Buxton CC-Sett Valley Cycles) for victory in Derby Mercury RC’s 50-mile round of the EMEG Series on the Windley circuit.

The pair broke away from the field on the second of the five laps and were never seen again, stretching their advantage to three and three-quarter minutes without any concerted reaction from behind.

With the rest resigned to contesting third place, the gap stayed unchanged to the finishing hill where 25-year-old Kenway, from Belper, came out on top with William Goulbourne (Team V-Sprint Racing) leading home the rest.
