Mike Jones (Paramount CRT) and Jordan Bason (MG-Maxifuel) couldn’t be separated in a tight bunch sprint at the finish of round eight of the SSSCCRRL at Admaston.

On a flat seven mile circuit which included a long main road drag riders managed to avoid the rain showers for an ideal night of racing.

Jones, 46, from Shrewsbury and  Bason,19, from Shifnal were part of the scratch group which only caught the remaining handicap riders with three miles to go.

This made for an interesting sprint as over 60 riders hit the final straight together for the sprint to the top of the motorway bridge.

It turned out to be a drag race to the finish with riders fanned out over the road with Bason and Jones unable to be separated on the line in front of Daniel Harris (Clay Cross RT) in third.
