Location: Mickleover Sports Club, Derby
Event: 21 April 2013
Report: Beeston RC

It was an almost perfect day for racing. The sun was out, the air was cool although a little breezy. The bunch seemed content to cruise along at a modest pace with no one pushing the speed along for the first lap.

It was a new course and the riders took their time to accustomise themselves to it. The second lap saw more eventful riding with Nick Jepson (Beeston Road Club) clipping off the front with only to be brought back.

Lee Allen (Beeston Road Club) and Carl Dyson (Clay Cross RT) tried again to slip away from the bunch but it was all brought back for the final lap and a bunch sprint to the line.

Carl Dyson (Clay Cross RT), narrowly shaded it from his team mate Alastair Hepworth (Clay Cross RT) and Andrew Nichols (Neon-velo.com).

Congratulations to all the riders for making it such an exciting race and many thanks to Beeston Road Club and their marshals for making the event possible.
