Notching up his 11th win in the series, Billy Whenman (Velo Schils-Interbike) won the 22nd and final race in the South East League’s Thursday Evening Series staged at the Cyclopark in Gravesend, Kent.

The 23-year-old, who is from Gravesend, has dominated many of the E/1/2 races he has ridden at the venue, and made it 11 wins in the midweek series when he took victory ahead of Zappi’s Pro Cycling rival Adam Cotterell, while John Wager (Felt-Colbornes) completed the podium in third spot.

Meanwhile, in the supporting race for third and fourth category riders, 32-year-old London-based Rolandas Razgauskis (unattached), who finished second in round 19 of the midweek series three weeks previously, took victory ahead of Dulwich Paragon’s Jonathan Maher.
