Francis Cade (VO2 Development Team) secured victory in the penultimate round of the South East League Summer Series, staged at the Cyclopark in Gravesend, Kent, on Saturday.

The 20-year-old from Surbiton (pictured) was notching up his second win in the series following victory in round 16 back in June, although he gave an indication of his form when he was second in round 22 and fourth in last week’s midweek SERRL Series race on Thursday.

The winner of the opening round of the London Cyclo-Cross League last weekend, Brighton-based Darren Barclay (Arctic-SRAM) took second spot, while Dean Shannon (Twenty 3C) was third.

The supporting race for third and fourth category riders was won by evergreen Michael Rostoft, the 50-year-old Chelmer CC rider from Chelmsford, who held off Jeremy Broughton (London Dynamo) for the win ahead of junior Sebastian Dickson (Thanet RC).
