Event: 29 September 2012
Source: The Tour of Britain / The Tour Series

The Supercrit offers racing for Youth A and B, Women, and Elite/1/2 categories, all taking place on a brand new 1.3km circuit within the grounds of the NEC, home of The Cycle Show.

There is a prize fund in excess of £7,000, including generous lap primes from many of the cycle industry’s top brands, as well as music and live commentary. An electric atmosphere is guaranteed, all under the floodlights of this spectacular venue.

With Olympians Ed Clancy and Andy Tennant already signed up along with their Rapha-Condor-Sharp team, plus Endura Racing and Team Raleigh-GAC, the men's race promises to be a fantastic, high paced affair. Youth riders have the unique opportunity of racing the same circuit as those riders who struck gold at London 2012, and a considerable prize list is on offer for both boys and girls in the Youth A and B categories. The women's race offers another chance for those riders familiar with the Johnson Health Tech Grand Prix Series Series, to do battle on the twists and turns of this new circuit.

Entries are welcome from teams and individuals, with promotional opportunities available and a riders’ pit set aside for team cars. All competitors will receive free entry to The Cycle Show, redeemable between 28-30 September. More information about the show can be found here: www.cycleshow.co.uk

Mick Bennett, Technical Director of The Tour of Britain and The Tour Series said, "We are delighted and very excited to bring this brand new event to the NEC and The Cycle Show. With the generous support of sponsors and partners, we are yet again able to offer top class racing opportunities, combined with a fantastic night out for spectators"
