Location: Hillingdon Circuit, Hayes, Middlesex
Event: 1 September 2012
Report: Snowdon Sports

Going clear at around the halfway mark in the 38-mile race, junior Dante Carpenter (Cube Fintro Spie) resisted all challenges from a strong chasing pack to score a superb solo win in High Wycombe CC’s feature elite race at the Hillingdon circuit in West London.

The Dorking 18-year-old, who had twice finished second in the Tuesday-night series at the same venue, loves to attack and saw it pay full dividends this time for his first victory of the season.

The rest were still 40 seconds down on Carpenter at the line where Nigel Williams (Python RT) took the sprint for second place ahead of Tony Gibb (Metaltek Scott).

Result:

1 Dante Carpenter (Cube Fintro Spie) 1-27-50
2 Nigel Williams (Python RT) at 40 sec
3 Tony Gibb (Metaltek Scott)
4 James Norris (High Wycombe CC)
5 Lewis Atkins (Twenty3c,com-Orbea)
6 Peter Cole (Handsling Racing)
7 Vince Halpern (Handsling Racing)
8 Nigel Carpenter (GS Vechi)
9 Livio Nanetti (Eagle RC)
10 Louis Magnani (Prestige VC) all same time
