Second in last month’s Alan Goddard Memorial event, Matt Clarke (Halesowen A&CC) went one better to record his first road race win of the season in Worcester St John’s CC’s 79-mile promotion at Kempsey.

The 19-year-old Stourbridge rider got the better of Liam Stones (Team Corley Cycles) with Matt Higgins (Node4 Giordana Racing) settling for third.
