All-rounder Paul McInally (Rock and Road Cycles) rode clear to a seven-second victory in East Kilbride RC’s 51-mile Summertime Classic over three laps of the Stewarton Circuit at Fenwick, near Kilmarnock.

The Larkhall 38-year-old, who is equally at home on and off the road, powered away from TheBicycleWorks team-mates Drew Sharkey and Duncan Ewing on the Clunch Road finishing drag at the head of a strung-out field.

Leeds-based Gabriella Shaw (For Viored), 20, won the two-lap women’s race, crossing the line three seconds in front of Penny Phillips (Moray Firth CC) and Julie Erskine (Aberdeen Wheelers).
