Road: Raikkonen takes win in Meigle

Veli-Matti Raikonnen (Granite City RT) won the Dundee Wheelers Road Race by just a couple of seconds after a hard fought race in Meigle.

The 50-mile race caused two breaks in the field with the first group being led home by the Finnish rider.

As the finish line approached, he managed to get a couple of seconds on his rivals and held on to take victory.

Nine other riders sprinted for the remaining places in the top ten with Neil Paylor of Edinburgh RC nothing second place.
