Road: Coyle takes victory at Brighton

Mike Coyle secured victory in his own club’s latest criterium, the third round of the Brighton Mitre Series staged at Hove Park on Friday evening.

Coyle, 50 and from the East Sussex town, took the win ahead of Haywards Heath rival Eric Decolier, while Jon Lewis, the Charlitteville CC rider from Guildford, completed the podium in third.

In the supporting race for fourth category riders Mark Emsley (Brighton Excelsior) took the win ahead of London Dynamo’s Jonathan Potts, while Jason Gilbert took third spot.

Round four of the popular series is due to be held at Hove Park on July 20.
