The winner of last week’s race, Anders Christensen secured victory for a second consecutive week in the Platform Lift Company Summer Series and led a 1-2-3 for Pedal Heaven Racing Team at the Thruxton Aerodrome near Andover in Hampshire on Friday.

The 36-year-old from Fleet in Hampshire took the win ahead of team-mates Paul Pickup and Tim Elverson, while the best of the rest was Wilier-Live2Ride’s Toby Eichler.

GWR Team were celebrating victory in the supporting race for third and fourth category riders, with 33-year-old Dan Smith from Swindon taking the win ahead of Andover Wheelers rival Tom Hayward and Sam Arnold (SRAM CC).

In the youth races, First Chard Wheelers dominated the older categories with Rob Hogg winning the Under-16s race from Swindon RC’s Jack Bilyard, while Hogg’s team-mate Ryan White won the Under-14s race from William Crofts of the Bristol Cycling Development Squad.

In other categories Andover Wheelers’ Alex Hall won the Under-12s, while Arthur Boulton (Palmer Park Velo) came out on top in the Under-10s and Marshall Thompson (Andover Wheelers) won the Under-8s.
