Teenager Alex Bottomley won the third and final round of the Sunderland Clarion Criterium Series at Hetton Lyons Country Park at Houghton-le-Spring near Sunderland on Saturday.

The trio of events have been staged jointly by Sunderland Clarion and Cycling Development North East, and have all proved popular, with the Regional A event running for around 50 minutes and the fourth cats riding for half an hour.
