2012 Junior National Road Series

Final Standings

This has been the most closely fought of all the Road National Series with some fascinating battles right across the events. With a range of events from 1-day hilly road races to flat fast crits to multi-day stage races on varied terrain, there was something here to test every rider.

It all came down to the final round, the hugely popular Junior Tour of Wales, a true classic of a race and this year run off in horrendous conditions. With the extra points on offer for this five stage, three day behemoth, it was Hugh Carthy who took maximum points but Alex Peters had done enough to secure top spot in the Series. Harry Tanfield in second spot had a very close battle with Tao Geoghegan-Hart and there were only eight points between them. Chris Lawless and Will Stephenson round out the top five, all very close on points throughout.
