Humby's Road Race
Harworth, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, 65 miles
Event: 7th August 2011
Report: Snowdon Sports

CLAIMING his fifth win of the season, Richard Meadows (Pendragom) proved fastest in a six-up sprint to win Rutland CC's 65-mile road race over 11 laps of the Harworth circuit, near Doncaster.

The promoting club's Danny Lowthorpe and Nathan Wilson (Wilson Wheels) attacked on the opening lap and were away on their own for five laps before the chasing bunch decided enough was enough.

The regrouped field remained intact for four more laps before the race-deciding move was made, six riders going clear - including Wilson - to contest the finish where Meadows got the better of Neal Beasley (Beeston RC) and Rob Watkinson (Doncaster Wheelers) for a well-crafted win.
