Team Royal London 360 Isle of Man's Youth League

A total of 296 competitors signed-on at the NSC last Tuesday night for round 10 of Team Royal London 360 Isle of Man's youth league. Proving that the previous week's maiden victory was no fluke, Harvey Coole notched up his second successive win in the novices class. Sam Cunningham was the runner-up and Ryan Blair pipped Amy Quayle in the bunch sprint for third.
 
In the born 2005 & later category Harry Kneen, Nathan Cannell and Mairi Harrison broke away from the field to fill the top three places on the podium. Niall Colquitt led the large chasing group home for fourth.
 
Zac Walker and Dillon Dowson fought over the honours in the born 2004 event, with Zac getting the verdict in the final sprint for the line. Cameron Dudley was a lonely third and Ralf Holden came from behind to edge out James Devereau for fourth. Ben Boyle completed the top six.
 
There was another close battle in the born 2003 age group, with Jake Wilson outgunning overall leader Percy Hampton in the dash for the chequered flag. Jonty Bregazzi claimed third ahead of Matthew Black and Oliver Williams beat Jack Collister, Jack Christian, Darcy Cain and Ben Grainger in the gallop for fifth.
 
Charlie Gibson produced another impressive solo victory in the born 2002 race. Will Corkill and James Harrison never gave up the chase but in the end had to settle for second and third places respectively. Nicholas Kissack got the better of travelling companions Blae Cain ,Sam Corlett and Liam Crook in the tussle for fourth.
 
Leaving nothing to chance after his defeat in round nine, Max Walker went from the gun in the born 2001 class and was never caught. Juan Kneen had the upper hand on Adam Scarffe and Tyler Cain in the sprint for second, with Emma Draper taking the girls' prize in fifth spot.
 
A group of four riders set the pace in the born 2000 three lapper and stayed together to the finish where Ben Christian bagged maximum points for an eighth time. Tom Murray was second followed by Thomas Bostock and Sam Batey. Twelfth placed Ruby Kennedy pipped Ciara Sowerby for the girls' honours.
 
Matthew Draper recorded his ninth success in the born 1999-97 grouping. An aggressive Phoebe Ferguson produced her best performance of the series so far to grab second from Breeshey Cain. The remaining positions on the top six leader board were filled by Liam McCann, Abby Quirk and Sam Mills.
 
Due to the ever increasing numbers competing in the racing bike classes, an extra four lap event has been introduced into the programme to cater for the under 8's and under 10's. In the inaugural race William Draper held off the fast finishing Charlie Gibson for the victory. Thomas Bostock was third and Sam Batey was first over the line in the dash for fourth.
 
In the under 12's droppies Matthew Draper picked up his second win of the night at the expense of main rival Owen Dudley. Michael Moss, Dan Watterson and Conor Davies, who had all been very active in the initial break with the two frontrunners, were third, fourth and fifth. Eleanor Davies was the best girl, taking eighth by a short head from Kaitlin Slack.
 
Port Soderick's Jake Kelly outsprinted Joshua Knights, Nicholas Corlett and Alex Haddock to take the number one slot in the under 16 racing bikes. Jamie Dudley was the leading under 14 rider in fifth place and Victoria Kinrade the top girl in tenth place.
