Report: Castle Combe Summer Series
Event: 20th May 2010, Castle Combe Raceway, Wiltshire
A quieter night regarding numbers with 47 youth riders and 84 seniors lining up to race on a lovely, warm and dry May evening. Most unlike a normal Thursday evening at Castle Combe! With the still conditions the Senior race was keenly fought with the three groups merging very quickly despite the generous handicaps. It appears that when there is a wind blowing it generally takes longer for the groups to come together. Mark Perry won a very close sprint from Ben Stockdale with James Stewart taking third spot.

The usual protagonists took the honours in the Youth races with the closest sprint of the evening in the U12 race with Lewis Revill just pipping Etienne Georgi, James Tillett and Peter Kibble. Pfeiffer Georgi and Megan James again took 1st and 2nd in their category but were beaten to the line by Joe Beckingsale of Abergavenny RC. Ashley Hutchinson got back to winning ways in the U14 race and Matt Cross of Newport Velo got the better of Zac May and Jack Reed in another close sprint in the U16 race.
