There was another large turnout of 323 competitors for round three of Team Royal London 360 Isle of Man's youth league, staged at the National Sports Centre last Tuesday night in overcast but dry conditions. Edward Teare notched up his third successive victory in the novices class, crossing the line some way ahead of top girl Sophia Littlewood. Harvey Coole took third ahead of Mia Littlewood and Sam Cunningham, with Ryan Blair edging out Jamys Christian to complete the top six.
 
In the born 2005 & Later category Harry Kneen rode away from the field to record his first win of the season. Niall Colquitt outsprinted Aaron Christian, Mairi Harrison, and Zachary Dowson for the runners-up spot, while Nathan Cannell got the verdict in the bunch gallop for sixth. Zac Walker held off a late challenge from Dillon Dowson to maintain his 100% record in the born 2004 event. Joshua Dudley was a lonely third ahead of twin brother Cameron, who overtook Cian Gell in the closing stages to snatch fourth place. Mia Worthington was the top girl in sixth spot.
 
With round one winner Percy Hampton sidelined by a pre-race tumble, the way was left open for Matthew Black to grab maximum points for a second time in the born 2003 age group. Jake Wilson won his battle with Jonty Bregazzi for second and leading girl Darcy Cain kept Jack Christian and Jack Collister at bay for fourth.
 
A start line attack gave Charlie Gibson a race winning advantage over his rivals in the born 2002 class. Will Corkill was a good second and James Harrison came through the field to take third from Aaron Lund. Leading girl Blae Cain held off the fast finishing Jack Whitelegg for fifth. After breaking away on the first lap, Max Walker was never seriously challenged for the honours in the born 2001 event. A determined Juan Kneen worked hard to secure second ahead of chasers Tyler Cain, Adam Scarffe and Matthew Flint. Sixth placed Emma Draper took the girls' prize.
 
Ben Christian was too fast for Thomas Bostock and Luke Murray in the dash to decide the outcome of the born 2000 race. Sam Batey pipped Tom Murray for fourth and Adam Kelly beat Joseph Corkish for seventh. Matthew Draper dropped breakaway partner Tamara Preskey on the last lap to claim victory in the born 1999-97 grouping. Rory McCann took third from Phoebe Ferguson and Daniel Scarffe.
 
In the racing bike classes, Matthew Draper, Michael Moss and Conor Davies filled the top three places in the U/12's, with Jake Kelly, Nicholas Corlett and Joshua Knights the leading trio in the U/16's.
