Youth Racing at Thoresby Park

Cycle racing came to Thoresby Park for the first time on Saturday 17th April supported by DiscoverCycling.com. The backdrop of Thoresby Hall stately home combined with glorious sunshine created a fantastic atmosphere for the day of racing. The formula of two events for the price of one was very well received; allowing all riders to compete in one event, recover & reflect on their performances & then race again.

The quality of racing in all categories was very high, with National Youth Circuit Race Champion Sam Lowe (Raleigh Avanti RT) winning both of the U16 Boys events and Lucy Garner (Leicestershire RC) - winner of the Youth National Series event at Yarborough last month - first U16 girl. All of the Youth categories were well supported on the day - with just under 60 riders in total.

 This weekend Sam Lowe, Alex Minting & Lucy Garner will all be away racing in Europe so we are going to see a new selection of riders taking the honours. Full details are as follows:

*The Go-Race event is open to new adult road riders and 4th cats with no licence points.

Entries are welcome on the day & signing on opens from 10.00am. The circuit will be open for warm up from 10.45am.
