Lichfield City Cycling Club Youth Series

Dan Fleeman was a popular visitor to the final event of the series

Daniel Fleeman of Cervelo Test Team was on hand to present the prizes at the concluding round of the Lichfield City Cycling Club Youth Series held at the famous Motor Racing Sprint Circuit at Curborough near Lichfield. The event was blessed with glorious sunshine and despite the National Youth Event held at Hillingdon had a good turnout of Youth Riders of all categories.

The event got under way with a time trial for all Riders over one lap of the circuit. The event then continued with criterium races over various distance of the circuit for each category. Each of the Riders were contesting for an outstanding prize purse of over £1300 with was well split for each of the categories. Special primes were also awarded at appropriate time throughout each race.

Daniel Fleeman also spent time signing copies of his Team Card and happily posed for photographs with the Youth Riders. Daniel will be returning to the continent to ride the Tour of Spain in a few weeks and the Organiser, Officials, Riders and Riders Parents all wished him all the best for the remainder of the season.
