Treorchy to Llandrindod Wells

Join us on our sponsored cycle challenge to help raise funds for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Rhondda. We will be cycling from Treorchy Boys' & Girls' Club to the Metropole Hotel in Llandrindod Wells.

2009will be the first year of the Rhondda Cycle Challenge and with your help we hope to make it an annual fundraising event for the Boys' and Girls' Clubs of Rhondda. There will be full support during the challenge and an informal social evening at the Metropole Hotel.

Date: 27th June 2009

Registration from 8.30 am; Form-up at 9.45 am; Departure at 10.00 am

The event will commence from the Treorchy Boys and Girls club (CF42 6UD) adjacent to the Co-op supermarket in Treorchy and continue to the Metropole Hotel (LD1 5DY) in Llandrindod Wells.

The total course distance is approximately 100km and riders should satisfy themselves that their level of fitness is sufficient for an endurance ride of this length.

Registration for the event is £10 and we ask all participants to raise as much sponsorship money as possible for the clubs. Those raising in excess of £50 will be refunded the £10 registration fee. All riders will be presented with a commemorative T-shirt.

An informal social gathering will be held at the Metropole in the evening for riders and companions.

The challenge is open to all aged 16yrs and over. Those under 18 yrs must be accompanied on the ride by a responsible adult.
