Cycling Guitarist on UK Tour
Lonely Joe Parker, a cycling guitarist whose oeuvre hits a range covering everything from Springsteen and Clash-inspired rock to Winehouse and Waits-influenced blues, is about to hit the south of England on tour with little more than his push-bike and guitar.
Joe is a passionate supporter of the Campaign Against the Arms Trade (CAAT), a non-violent campaigning group whose ultimate goal is the abolition of arms sales. He will be collecting donations for CAAT at all of his gigs and have lots of info about their current campaigns, including trying to stop the world's biggest arms fair taking place in Docklands from 8-11 September this year. www.caat.org.uk
Last year he undertook a tour of the USA from Miami to New York, and he already has a respectable discography on the Sotones label, which he co-founded.
