A network of new cycle routes will form a key part of an £850,000 regeneration project on the Lincolnshire coast.

The Lincolnshire Coastal Grazing Marshes Project has been set up to conserve the threatended wildlife habitat between Grimsby and Gibraltar Point and cycling routes will help to bring visitors back to the area.

The project is headed by East Lindsey District Council with English Heritage, the Environment Agency, Lincolnshire County Council, Natural England and the National Farmers Union as key partners.

The project focuses on the unique grazing marshes around Huttoft, Saltfleetby and Burgh-le-Marsh. Project managers hope that cycle routes, trails and interpretation boards will help draw in tourists from the traditional Lincolnshire seaside resorts.
