Midweek MTB Madness returns on May 31 with a brand new venue, with the first two rounds to be held at Leverhulme Park, Bolton.
Already in its third year, the first event of the popular Manchester midweek mountain bike series is headed up in 2012 by individual clubs and promoters, with the addition of yet another brand new venue with Round 1 being held at Leverhulme Park in Bolton on May 31.

Thursday 26th July – Chorlton Water Park, Manchester, Manchester Wheelers
Thursday 9th August – Boggart Hole Clough, Manchester, Eastlands Velo
All four courses have been designed by mountain bike experts and will be all about the fun factor, varying at each race and each venue. And though laps may be under ten minutes, there's plenty of short climbs, fast descents and winding singletrack, with a little doubletrack for overtaking or freewheeling!
The event is open to experts and novices alike and will work on a mass-start format with races lasting approximately 50 minutes and one lap for all competitors. Racing starts at 7pm, leaving plenty of time to travel direct from work, sign on and grab a practice lap, before the main event. There is prize money to be won each week based on the number of entries with an overall trophy for the series winner which will be based on the top 5 results for each rider.
ESSENTIAL DETAILS
The event is open to Youth, Junior and Senior riders, male and female with all riders starting together. Registration will be from 6pm by the Start/Finish area and the course will be open for pre ride from 6.30pm. Racing will start at 7pm.
Race Distance: 50mins + 1 lap
Entry Fees : £10 advance, £12 on the day.
