Organiser Chris Roberts explains to riders why racing has been called off

Unfortunately due to a serious accident in the 3rd heat of the first set of quarter finals, racing was abandoned at the second round of the 2011 Schwalbe National 4-Cross Series. There had been hopes of a re-start until it became clear how serious the accident was and how long it would take to evacuate the rider via the Air Ambulance.

Chris Robert (4X Organiser) was understandably emotional when he informed the 4X Riders that he had to cancel the event. The riders supported the unfortunate decision which Chris was forced to make and on behalf of all the riders Scott Beaumont further thanked Chris for organising the event and for making the right decision regarding the event cancellation.
