The Dalby Dare: Have You Got What it Takes?

| Event Date: 22 May 2011

Ever wondered what it's like to ride a World Cup mountain bike course? The Dalby Dare is your chance to find out.

The Dalby Dare is a 25km off-road challenge event which takes place on the Saturday (21 May) of the Dalby World Cup weekend. Included in the varied and scenic 25km is a full lap of the World Cup course the pro riders will be tackling the following day. The Dalby Dare isn't a race, but your lap of the World Cup will be independently timed, so you can compare your performance with that of the pro riders.

Everyone who enters will receive an exclusive Dalby Dare T-shirt and a goody bag, plus there will be a downloadable certificate to mark your completion of the challenge. And, of course, there will be the satisfaction of being able to say "I rode that" when you watch the pros course-side on the Sunday!

Entry is available via the official event website, or direct from ticketmaster, with a cracking 20% discount for all British Cycling members.

When you enter, you will be asked to estimate your time to complete the 25km, to help with the starting arrangements - basically, the quicker riders will be started first, to try to minimise hold-ups. The options are Big Ring (60-90 mins), Middle Ring (90-120 mins) and Little Ring (over 120 mins).
