Lee Williams proved his all-round excellence once again as he emphatically won the 2010 Welsh XC Champs.
The event drew riders from around the country to ride the Epic hills of Builth Wells. Greeting the riders was blazing sunshine which really kept them on their toes throughout the event as the temperatures soared.
The Elite men's field saw some real competition to challenge Lee Williams for the win, especially in the form of Orbea rider, John Whittington, who wasn't Welsh and could not qualify for a medal, but came along for the ride anyway!
The two fought for the lead for the first two laps, before Lee worked his way clear, forging a small gap which he held through to the end of the sixth lap. Lee Williams was duly crowned once again as Welsh XC Champion, with John Whittington 2nd.
Welsh qualified riders John Pugh and Matt Page completed the podium.
