Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland

Introduction

formally known as "The Scottish Mountain Bike Framework project", is holding its first consultation evening for the pilot development cluster - Tayside & Fife:

Taking place at Perth Concert Hall on 24th June, 7-9pm.

What is Developing Mountain Biking in Scotland?

Our vision is for Scotland to be a world leader in all aspects of Mountain Biking, and with the help of the framework, have a considerable impact on increasing participation, tourism and economic development and sporting success.

With your help we would like to improve and develop:

  • Levels of domestic participation in mountain biking
  • Increase the number of visitors to Scotland through Mountain Biking
  • Stage and support major events in Scotland
  • Improve the quality of facilities and opportunities offered
  • Improve the Sporting performances achieved

The aim of this meeting will be to gather the mountain bike community - public, private & voluntary sectors - together and get their thoughts into how we can develop mountain biking together within the local authority areas of Perth & Kinross, Angus, Dundee & Fife and what support the project and a development cluster can offer.
