British Cycling runs an application process for those riders that have less than 40 UCI points who wish to be considered to ride for the National Team at any round of the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill (“MTB DHI”) World Cup series.

Those riders who have 40 points or more must enter through their UCI Elite MTB Team or UCI MTB Team, riders who are not members of these teams must contact mtbdownhill@britishcycling.org.uk to arrange entry.

Any places offered for World Cup events will not have any bearing on selection for any future World Cups, European or World Championships.

There will be no support or funding available to any National Team riders at World Cup events. British Cycling MTB DH Coordinator, Michael Vickers will be the point of contact for any concerns or questions whilst at a World Cup event.

All riders selected to compete for the National Team via this process are required to ride in the national jersey in the qualifier, final and podium presentation.  Riders selected will be provided with one jersey at the time of selection, additional jerseys may be purchased by riders if required.

Riders may apply for one or multiple rounds of the Worlds Cup series and are only required to submit one application per season.

In order to be considered riders must apply via the method set out in the following Application Process;
